[22a-P02-9] Polymer gel to remove various metal ions from aqueous solution

Adsorption-removal method for Ni and Zn ions in the plating wastewater have been developed by using hydrogel composed of poly (2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid), abbreviated as PAMPS. By immersing PAMPS hydrogel in plating wastewater, both Ni and Zn ions were successfully removed to the level of emission standards. It proved that the newly developed PAMPS hydrogel could be a highly potential candidate for the Ni- and Zn- removing material.
