△ [22p-D214-9] Pressure-induced intersite charge transfer in oxyhydride EuVO2H
Keywords:charge transfer, perovskite oxyhydride, Mott insulator
Intersite charge transfer has attracted much attention because of the unique phenomena associated with it. We have succeeded in synthesizing EuVO2H by the low-temperature reduction of EuVO3, in which the Sr site of SrVO2H is fully replaced by Eu. XANES measurements under high pressure show that the charge transfer between Eu2+ and V3+ occurs, and associated metallization takes place at ~15 GPa. the Eu 4f orbitals mediate the metal-insulator transition that preserves the quasi-two-dimensional band state of V 3d. In the presentation, we will make a discussion including the structural change.
