Keywords:Vibrational excitation, Nitrogen fixation, Non-equilibrium plasma

Toward efficient plasma nitrogen fixation, an aim of this research is to realize efficient vibrational excitation by Non-self-sustaining DC discharge plasma with the applied E/N control. In this study, nitrogen ro-vibrational distribution is estimated by Laser Raman spectroscopy. Selectivity of the vibrational excitation from gas heating is enhanced with the increase of the apparent E/N, resulted in observable overpopulation in vibrational level v = 8 and higher. Relation of apparent E/N control and heating will be discussed at the meeting.
