[22p-P01-5] High-Order Plasmon Coupling Excited in the Gold Nanoplate on the Gold Thin Film

Plasmon coupling is useful because it creates an enhanced electric-field in the gap of the metallic nanostructure. However, high-order plasmon coupling has not been well clarified. In this study, we investigated the plasmon coupling between high-order plasmons excited in a triangular gold nanoplate and those in gold thin film. We found from electromagnetic simulations that the optical characteristics and the electric-field enhancement were dependent on the angle of incidence and were different even in the same in-plane mode. This implies that the form of plasmon coupling is different in each mode.
