Tin sulfide (SnS) is a promising solar cell material, which is consisted of only non-toxic and abundant elements. The solar cells involing n-type SnS single-crystal/MoO3 junction are expected as new device structure that can provide high open-circuit voltage (VOC). However, the devices employing this structure so far have not shown the expected high performance. In this study, we investigated the effects of the electrical conductivity of the MoO3 layer and the impurity concentration in the SnS single crystal on the output characteristics, aiming to improve the conversion efficiency of n-type SnS/MoO3 junction solar cells.
