△ [23a-E203-10] Narrowing diameter of taller and denser CNT by oxidation degree control of AlxOy catalyst supporting layer
Keywords:carbon nanotube
In order to synthesize long and dense carbon nanotubes (CNTs), we attempted to control the structure of the alumina layer by controlling the oxygen pressure in the alumina deposition process. Observing the deposited alumina surface using atomic force microscopy (AFM) found that the structure could be classified into three patterns depending on the oxygen pressure. The catalyst particles were the smallest in diameter and formed in high density when the oxygen pressure during alumina deposition was 1.5×10-2 Pa.
