When the vibrational modes of molecules coherently couple to the cavity modes, new vibro-polaritonic states are formed. Vibrational strong coupling (VSC) has emerged as a new method for manipulating chemical reactions. We have demonstrated that VSC suppressed the reactivity of organic molecules and induce site-selective organic reactions. In addition, VSC can change the self-assembly behavior and control the crystal polymorphism of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
