In this study, we proposed a non-destructive Chl a/b detection method for tomato leaves and fabricated a small chlorophyll measurement system for agricultural applications. The chlorophyll measurement system consists of a filter-free sensor and a system for measuring the microcurrents from the sensor. As a confirmation of the system operation, the linearity of the sensor output for light intensity changes of about nW was confirmed. This suggests that our system can be applied to the measurement of chlorophyll a/b.
