[23p-E106-18] Wide-bandgap energy-selective contacts for higher efficiency of hot-carrier solar cells

I constructed a new detailed-balance model to find a suitable structure of energy-selective contacts used for hot-carrier solar cells. It has been found that a wide-bandgap layer can achieve a higher conversion efficiency than previously used double-barrier resonant tunneling diodes consisting of semiconductor quantum dots and quantum wells, because of its higher conductance.
