Keywords:E-J characteristic

We have shown in a previous study that the E-J characteristics of RE-123 wires can be evaluated by measuring the relaxation of magnetization. However, the electric field range that can be measured by the conventional magnetization measurement becomes less than 10-8 V/m, which is several orders of magnitude lower than that by the four-probe method. In this study, taking advantage of the properties of the Hall probe with high-speed response, we measured the properties of the initial magnetization decay of less than 0.1 s and succeeded in extending the measuring range of the electric field to 10-5 V/m equivalent to that of the four-probe method.
