△ [23p-E303-4] Plasmonic Color Generation by Metal Nanopillar Array
Keywords:Metamaterial, plasmonics, plasmonic color
The coloration caused by the surface plasmon properties of metal nanostructures is called plasmonic color and is attracting attention as a coloration technology that does not fade. In addition to high-resolution printing technology, plasmonic colors are expected to be applied to ultra-thin color filters and biosensors, and it is important to control not only hue, saturation, and lightness but also polarization and incident angle dependence. We have been studying the application of plasmonic colors of metal nano dome structures, which are metal thin films deposited on polystyrene nanoparticle films, to colorimetric biosensors. However, ensuring the reproducibility of the structure fabrication method based on the self-assembly process has been an issue. In this study, we aimed to fabricate metal nanopillar arrays and obtain plasmonic colors using moth-eye films, which have nanopillar arrays on their surface to provide anti-reflection effects.
