Since the device performance of a quantum magnetic sensor using an NV center is greatly affected by the characteristics of the diamond crystals, the growth of a diamond crystals suitable for the quantum sensor is an important research subject. In this talk, we will introduce the diamond crystal growth for quantum sensors by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and high temperature and high pressure (HPHT) synthesis methods carried out by the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS).
