Keywords:NV centre, piezoactive magnetic material

As a method to improve the pressure sensitivity of the NV center, we focused on hybrid sensing that combines a piezoactive magnetic material, which is a magnetic material sensitive to stress, with the NV center. We applied pressure to the hybrid structure consisting of a piezoactive magnetic material, SmFe2, and a (111) oriented NV center, and conducted ODMR imaging. The conversion factor between the applied pressure and the measured ODMR resonance frequency was 14 kHz/Pa, which was three orders of magnitude higher than that using only the NV center. The accuracy of the resonance frequency estimation was not degraded by the insertion of the magnetic layer.
