Keywords:Fluorescent Nanodiamond, Nitrogen-Vacancy centers, Biological Measurements

Living being is a complex construction of a wide variety of microcomponents such as cells and molecules. Therefore, "how to measure small and trace substances" has always been a challenge in life science. In recent years, quantum sensors based on NV centers in nanodiamonds has been attracting attention as a technique for such measurements. Here, we introduce highly sensitive biosensing technique using the nanometer-scale quantum sensors, and show the prospects for the researches and developments.
