[24a-E102-10] Self-limiting-grown Tungsten Disulfide Nanoribbons on Tungsten Oxide Nanowires
Keywords:Transition metal dichalcogenides, Nanoribbons, Nanowires
Structuring two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide sheets as nanoribbons has tremendous potential for electronic state modification due to quantum confinement and edge effects. In this study, WS2 nanoribbons were successfully grown on WxOy nanowires by chemical vapor deposition method using transition metal salts and organosulfur. The WS2 nanoribbons were monolayer with a very high yield (~100%), which was attributed to the self-limiting growth mechanism at the atomic-scale surface of WxOy nanowires.
