[24a-E102-8] Synthesis and properties of Mo chalcogenides thin films by vapor phase processing of CaMoO4

We synthesized single crystals of CaMoO4 and treated them with chalcogen vapor at high temperatures. In the case of sulfurization, formation of monolayer MoS2 was confirmed by photoluminescence, Raman spectrum, and TEM observation. The threshold of photoconductivity was 1.94eV and it is close to the bandgap of monolayer MoS2 (1.8eV). Similar attempt with Se and Te is underway.
