[24a-E102-8] Synthesis and properties of Mo chalcogenides thin films by vapor phase processing of CaMoO₄

We synthesized single crystals of CaMoO₄ and treated them with chalcogen vapor at high temperatures. In the case of sulfurization, formation of monolayer MoS₂ was confirmed by photoluminescence, Raman spectrum, and TEM observation. The threshold of photoconductivity was 1.94eV and it is close to the bandgap of monolayer MoS₂ (1.8eV). Similar attempt with Se and Te is underway.
