Keywords:electrical conductivity, conductive polymer
Polyaniline (PANI) shows good stability at room temperature, and its electrical conductivity can easily be regulated by protonation or charge transfer doping. It has been showing great potential in the applications of sensors, microelectronics, optoelectronic devices. In this work, we made PANI films and PANI/PVAc composite films by using spin coating method. Polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) with good mechanical properties and easy solubility was used to make polymer blends for later applications in biosensor. The effects of camphorsulfonic acid (HCSA) and PANI contents on the electrical conductivity change of PANI films and PANI composite films were investigated. PANI films with HCSA/PANI molar ratio of 0.7 had the best electrical conductivity, and the electrical conductivity greatly depended on the protonation level of PANI, higher protonation level led to higher electrical conductivity.
