[24a-E106-9] Direct imprint of helical structures in a biocompatible polymer
Keywords:optical vortex, hydrogel, soft material
We report that the spiral wavefronts of optical vortices were recorded via photoreduction of gold ions when optical vortices were irradiated on hydrogel, a biocompatible polymer doped with gold ions. Gold was precipitated by a picosecond pulsed laser with a wavelength of 532 nm, which was converted into an optical vortex. When the deposited gold was irradiated with a Gaussian beam, it was converted into a circular spatial mode. It was found that this circular spatial mode had a spiral wavefront of the same order as the orbital momentum of the optical vortex irradiated for photo-reduction.
