[24a-E301-2] Control of output direction of light from a CirD (Circular Defect in 2D photonic crystal) cavity to a waveguide in photonic crystal
Keywords:photonic crystal, subcavity
Placing multiple Circular Defects (CirD) along a waveguide can realize high-capacity communication by wavelength multiplexing. However, the light generated by the resonators is guided in both directions of the waveguide, resulting in a loss of about 50%. Therefore, if the output intensity can be made to differ in both directions, the loss can be significantly reduced. In this study, we simulated the output directionality control of light using a sub-cavity.
