We experimentally demonstrate mode-locked laser oscillation with sharp positive peak structure at multiple transition lines of carbon monoxide gaseous molecule based on Cr:ZnS.
Numerical calculation reproduces the peak structure observed in the experiment by considering the narrow band absorption from Lorentz oscillator as a non-perturbative form.
This brand new mid-infrared mode-locked laser dressed with gas molecules will become a powerful tool for detection and excitation of specific gas molecules with high energy efficiency and excellent selectivity.
