[24p-E101-8] Applications of Quantum Computer to Tire Materials Development

〇Hirokazu Sato1 (1.Bridgestone Corp.)

Keywords:tire material, quantum computer, computational science

Tires are composed of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, fillers, compounding agents, reinforcing fibers, and steel. These constituent materials undergo a variety of chemical reactions in the process of becoming a tire, and as a result, the physical properties of the rubber material are determined, which greatly affects the tire performance. Computational science is being used to understand these micro-scale phenomena, but there are many challenges. We are interested in the question, "Can we overcome these problems by using a quantum computer? ". We are collecting information and conducting trial calculations.
