The barrier function of epidermal cell layers is essentially important to protect our body. We have reported a visualization of the barrier function using a semiconductor-based chemical sensor. In this study, we have demonstrated the patterning of the epidermal cell layer in a microfluidic channel and visualization using the sensor.
