Keywords:surface plasmon resonance, plasmonics, miRNA

In order to detect trace amounts of cancer markers in body fluids, we aimed to detect miRNAs in a label-free and highly sensitive manner using plasmonic techniques, mainly surface plasmon resonance (SPR). Using a single-stranded LNA-modified gold substrate, SPR measurements were performed in a buffer solution containing suspended gold nanoparticles. In the results, miRNAs were successfully detected from 1 pM.
