[24p-E202-2] Low-energy X-ray CT using total reflection mirror
Keywords:X-ray CT, synchrotron radiation
We constructed a micro-CT system using low-energy quasi-monochromatic synchrotron radiation (QSR) reflected by a total-reflection flat mirror. The mirror was a high-precision flat mirror made by JTEC Corp. with a length of 200 mm, a thickness of 50 mm, and an effective reflection width of 5 mm. The spectrum of the QSR reflected at an incidence angle of 0.5 degrees was calculated to have a peak energy of 7.5 keV and a peak intensity of 1/15 of that of white SR. In addition, a projection image of a small piece of wood showed that the image contrast was greatly improved.
