In the recoding of bioelectric signals, techniques using a spatiotemporal filter based on the horizontal signal propagation as a method for detecting heterogeneous signals with similar temporal frequencies are proposed. The signal recorded by the multi-channel electrodes linear array was regarded as two-dimensional data having a time and a space axis, and only the propagating signal components were detected by the spatiotemporal filter. In the experiment, the EMG signal could be detected from the rectus abdominis muscle in condition of mixing ECG component, successfully.
