Magnetochiral (MCh) effects known as directional birefringence for unpolarized electromagnetic waves are induced in a system with magnetism and chirality. MCh effects in natural materials are usually very weak, but it is possible to enhance the effects in metamolecules.
In this presentation, we show that the MCh effects by metamolecules with spontaneous magnetization are two-orders magnitude greater than those of previous studies.
