[24p-F307-2] Basics and applications of scintillation detectors

〇Kenichi Watanabe1 (1.Kyushu Univ.)

Keywords:scintillator, radiation detector

A scintillator is an element converting a radiation quantum to visible photons. Scintillators are widely used in various fields, such as atomic energy, medical and security. In this paper, the basics of scintillation detectors and various applications of radiation detectors using scintillators are presented.
