Negative capacitance can be observed in double-injection devices such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In the spectrum of capacitance, the geometric capacitance of OLEDs is observed at high frequencies above 100 kHz, but as the measurement frequency is lowered, the capacitance gradually decreases, and at low frequencies below 1 kHz, the capacitance becomes negative. In some reports on negative capacitance, it is reported that the negative capacitance is caused by Shockley-Read-Hall (SRH) trap-assisted recombination. In this report, the analytical solution for SRH recombination is derived and discussed.
