Whole gamma imaging (WGI) can be applied for imaging PET events and Compton events. We simulated WGI using Si semiconductor detectors with high energy resolution for the scatterer to obtain images exceeding PET by 909 keV Compton imaging. Comparison of reconstructed images of a microderenzo phantom showed that Compton imaging could resolve to 1 mm rods adjacent to the detector, indicating the possibility of exceeding the spatial resolution of PET images.
