In recent years, agriculture has moved from human and animal power to machines, and is now in the stage of smart agriculture using ICT. First, we will overview the use of IoT in smart agriculture. The next stage of the current smart agriculture is expected to be data-driven agriculture based on big data. In order to realize this, automatic big data collection, high-power energy harvesting, large data store, and high-throughput data processing must be performed in the field, and the current status of research on this topic will be introduced.
