We propose an optimal optical spin readout of the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center. We improve the readout accuracy of the Rabi oscillation by 6.5% by weighting the emission intensity based on the spin relaxation model. This technique shortens short measurements of a few minutes that are routinely performed. We also applied our model to a readout method using nuclear spin memory and improved the readout accuracy by 11.3%. This indicates that our method is powerful for experiments that require several days of long measurements, such as nuclear spin NMR spectroscopy.
