[26a-E204-9] Unified Image Formation Theory of Bioimaging Techniques
Keywords:Image formation theory
Many types of bioimaging techniques ranging from classical optical microscopy to cutting-edge laser microscopy have been developed. Many of the current techniques surpass the diffraction limit that restricts the optical resolution of the classical microscopy. We formulate a theoretical framework that can treat the image formation of all optical microscopy in the same manner. Our theory unifies each technique that have been discussed individually into the identical formula. In this talk, we show how the resolution limits of the imaging systems, such as a linear-fluorescence microscopy, an imaging technique with a higher order light-matter interaction including a saturated fluorescence, and so on, are determined.
