[26a-P01-2] Population transfer in a laser-driven three-level system by a noisy quantum computer

We simulate the temporal evolution of the population transfer in a laser-driven three-level system, representing N2+ suddenly exposed to an ultrashort intense laser field, using an IBM Quantum computer. The wave packet is expressed on a fixed-depth quantum circuit using variational parameters. In order to mitigate the error originating from the imperfect gate control and the qubit decoherence, we apply the Clifford data regression and reproduce qualitatively the temporal evolution of the population transfer among the three levels.
