An electrical discharge machining supports the manufacturing industry in Japan as the technology which can fine processing. It is considered that this technology process targets objects by arc-plasma generated between the electrode and the target object. However, this mechanism has not been clarified fully yet. Therefore, this study focuses on plasma phenomena in electrical discharge machining and aims to clarify plasma characteristics by using optical emission spectroscopy and others.
