[26p-E101-2] Detection of Cortisol Using Terahertz Chemical Microscope

We have developed a terahertz chemical microscope (TCM) that can measure cortisol in saliva for objective evaluation of stress. The TCM can acquire sample information on the sensing plate, which is a terahertz wave generator, as terahertz wave intensity. In our study, we measured cortisol by immobilizing an aptamer of cortisol recognition element on a sensing plate. As a result, it was shown that the TCM can be used to detect cortisol in small amounts and quickly.
