▲ [15a-A305-8] Quantitative phase microscopy for simultaneous thermal conductivity and thermo-optic coefficient measurement
Keywords:Quantitative phase microscopy, Thermal conductivity, Thermo-optic coefficient
As the phase contrast measured by a quantitative phase microscope (QPM) is proportional to the phase shift, a QPM can be used to measure not only the intrinsic but also the extrinsic refractive index of a sample. In the current research, we demonstrate a method to measure a transparent substrate's thermal conductivity and thermo-optic coefficient (TOC) simultaneously, where the temperature-dependent refractive index is measured by a QPM-based setup. The results show that the measured thermal conductivities and TOCs agree well with the reference values. Our method is cost-effective and can be used to determine the thermal conductivity and TOC of an unknown transparent substrate simultaneously.
