▲ [15a-A401-6] Minimizing Voltage Losses in Stable Wide Bandgap Mixed Halide Perovskite Solar Cells
Keywords:wide bandgap, stability, perovskite solar cells
Semiconductors with bandgaps from 1.7 eV to 1.9 eV are useful absorber materials for multi-junction tandem solar cells and for high-output voltage single-junction solar cells designed for indoor, ambient lighting applications. Unfortunately, the voltages of wide bandgap perovskite solar cell devices have remained at a comparatively low value compared to the theoretical maximum. Recently, however, voltage losses caused by nonradiative recombination have been partially overcome by modifying the top perovskite/charge extraction layer interface. By their two-dimensional nature, however, surface treatments are inherently delicate. In this presentation, I will discuss the challenges in realizing stable high-voltage perovskite solar cells focusing on our recent results on wide bandgap p-i-n devices based on monolayer hole extraction layers.
