Keywords:magnetic orientation, triplet DNP

Triplet-DNP, which is a dynamic nuclear polarization technique using photo-excited triplet electron spins, can achieve nuclear spin polarization of several tens of percent at room temperature in a low magnetic field. In order to apply the technique to solution NMR and MRI, we should use the polarizing agents as powder. However, the polarization in the powder samples is much lower than that of single crystals. In this study, we prepared two kinds of magnetically oriented microcrystal array (MOMA) samples: p-terphenyl MOMA in aqueous gels and water-soluble benzoic acid in UV-curable resin. The alignment manner in the MOMAs were evaluated using wide-angle X-ray diffraction.
