[15p-A304-6] Shift photocurrent and quantum materials

Naoki Ogawa1,2 (1.RIKEN CEMS, 2.Dept. of Appl. Phys., Univ. of Tokyo)

Keywords:photocurrent, shift current

Some bulk photovoltaic effects, including shift current and injection current generation, can be described by using the quantum phase. For example, the shift current emerges as a result of phase shift in the Bloch wave function upon photoexcitation in a crystal lacking space-inversion symmetry. We will report recent spectroscopic experiments on several quantum materials, such as Rashba semiconductors and topological insulators, to realize external-field control of pulsed photocurrent at mid-infrared region.
