In order to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO₂), the cause of global warming, countries around the world are actively developing technologies that will contribute to achieving carbon neutrality, and since automobiles account for approximately 16% of total domestic CO₂ emissions in FY2020, a shift from gasoline to electric vehicles is inevitable. This presentation will focus on lithium-ion secondary batteries, which have been adopted as a power source for electric vehicles, and will explain market trends, technological trends, and future prospects.
