[15p-D311-10] Development of a high-sensitivity Compton camera for 177Lu radioactive contamination imaging
Keywords:radionuclide therapy, radioactive contamination, Compton camera
Lutetium-177 oxodotreotide(177Lu-Lutathera®) was approved for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors in 2021. The dose of this radiopharmaceutical is 7.4 GBq per treatment, and relatively high levels of radioactivity are excreted in the urine until around 48 hours after injection. Therefore, it is important to take measures for radioactive contamination to prevent occupational exposure. So, we have developed a Compton camera specifically designed to image areas of radioactive contamination by 177Lu. In this presentation, we report on the design of a Compton camera using Geant4 and the development of a prototype detector.
