▲ [15p-D704-3] Transverse magneto-thermoelectric conversion in sintered Co2MnGa slab
Keywords:Anomalous Nernst effect, Heusler alloy, Weyl semimetal
The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) refers to the conversion of a heat current into a transverse charge current in magnetic materials with spontaneous magnetization. The ferromagnetic Weyl semimetal Heusler alloy Co2MnGa (CMG) is known to exhibit the largest anomalous Nernst coefficient above room temperature. Here, we systematically studied the anomalous Nernst coefficient and its transverse thermoelectric figure of merit ZT in sintered polycrystalline Co2MnGa (CMG) slabs synthesized with various sintering conditions. We found that the ANE coefficient depends on the sintering time, temperature, and pressure and optimized the parameters to further improve ANE in CMG.
