In this research, we have attempted to construct artificial visual function devices without power supply in imitation of the visual function of a living body. As the target of the visual function, we focused on Gabor filter that imitates visual receptive fields of primary visual cortex simple cells in cerebrum. In previous reports, we have reported on the fabrication and function of Gabor filters using bacteriorhodopsin and inkjet methods. Herein, we will report detailed results of a motion recognition system for a robot car equipped with a Gabor filter.
