[15p-PA03-14] Surface Treatment by Coupling Reagents for Adsorption of Diamond Nanoparticles

Thin films of diamond nanoparticles (DNPs) were prepared by adsorption method on aluminum surface modified with coupling reagents with amino group (AEAPS), vinyl group (VTMS) and carboxyl group (11-phos). QCM measurements revealed that AEAPS-treated surface adsorbs stable DNPs layer that does not desorb by rinsing in water, whereas VTMS did not adsorb DNP and 11-phos adsorbs only a small amount of DNPs. Cross-sectional TEM observation also confirmed stable adsorption of DNPs on the AEAPS surface.
