[15p-PB06-20] Enhancement of Thin-Film Thermoelectric Conversion Device Using Metamaterials

A thin-film thermoelectric conversion device with improved power generation characteristics using metamaterials was proposed, and the objective was to realize the device. By using metamaterials that absorb thermal radiation emitted by objects and generate heat, temperature differences in the direction of the thermoelectric element film thickness can be maintained and higher output can be achieved. In this presentation, we fabricated a thin-film thermoelectric device using fullerenes, computationally analyzed the local heat generated by the metamaterial, and inferred that the metamaterial's absorption properties enhance the device's power generation characteristics.
