[16a-A201-1] Current-induced Quantum Structure far from Equilibrium
Keywords:current, photon breeding, dissipative structure
T. Kawazoe and M. Ohtsu developed the photon-breeding (PB) process, which makes high-efficient light emitting devices from indirect-transition-type semiconductors. To describe the light emitting from the PB devices, we employ an analogy with the theory of dissipative structure developed by Prigogine. We examine a toy mode that makes clear the role of current associated with the current source, light source and sink out of the system, and non-linearity inside the system.
