In order to develop the high-performance p-type semiconducting polymers for nonfullerene solar cells, a new semiconducting polymer based on a vinylene-bridged alkoxyfluorobenzothiadiazole (FOBTzE) as a new acceptor unit in combination with a benzodithiophene derivative was synthesized. Furthermore, we evaluated its physicochemical properties, thin-film structure, and photovoltaic properties of nonfullerene solar cells utilizing representative low-bandgap n-type semiconductors. As a result, 10.2% of power conversion efficiency has been achieved.
