[16a-A402-2] Liquid Treatment Using a DBD-embedded Micro Contactor

We propose a DBD-embedded micro-contactor as a new method of forming a reaction field where plasma and liquid are in contact. The features of this method are: (1) DBD plasma is generated in each hole of a dielectric plate with many through holes (discharge gas is supplied from one side of the plate), and (2) the liquid to be processed is in contact with the opposite side of the plate. Decolorization efficiency of methylene blue aqueous solution was 330-fold higher than that for a conventional solution plasma method.
