[16a-B409-8] Thermometry of a small amount of liquid using anti-Stokes fluorescence
Keywords:Anti-Stokes fluorescence, Fluorescent molecular thermometer
Anti-Stokes fluorescence is a phenomenon in which fluorescence occurs at wavelengths shorter than the excitation light. Since the shorter wavelength of fluorescence occurs using thermally excited vibrational energy, it is highly temperature dependent. They also have the advantage of very low solution absorption at the excitation wavelength. We investigated the temperature dependence of fluorescence intensity and peak fluorescence wavelength from small amounts of liquid containing these dye molecules. As a result, we found that the sensitivity of anti-Stokes fluorescence is comparable to that of other materials despite its simplicity.
