Enhancing the output power of MEMS piezoelectric vibration energy harvester (MEMS-pVEH) from low-frequency and random ambient vibration is critical for expanding the range of applications. In our previous work, a dynamic magnifier (DM) was employed for MEMS-pVEH to construct a two-degree-of-freedom system (2DOF). It was found that the output energy for impulsive forces shows significant enhancement and low dependence on the width of the duration. While 2DOF-pVEH shows the coupled oscillation behavior in 2DOF-pVEH, its effect on the output characteristics had not been investigated. In this work, the utilization of the coupled oscillation is discussed.
